Pacific Slope Flycatcher

Pacific Slope Flycatcher

Pacific Slope Flycatcher is among the 389 birds listed by the Audubon Society as climate threatened/endangered. This particular painting is of a fledgling flycatcher at RisingLeaf Sanctuary, my home of forty-eight years. The flycatchers come every year to nest on the light by the front door. Although this particular flycatcher, along with its brothers and sisters, was born on the garage door motor a few years ago!

This painting is one of twenty four that I have painted thus far from the Audubon list. It will be for sale at the Open Studio Tour being held October 8 & 9 and October 15 & 16.
